  2. You should make it more clear that you are talking about WordPress.com and not WordPress.org. This article can be deceptive otherwise. WordPress as a platform can be extremely powerful for a blog, website, or application. On top of that, you own your own content and can move it however you like. To be fair, I haven’t tried 1&1 myself but from the commercials I see on TV it seems no more than another GoDaddy-like website builder.
