Japanese Art Using Only Microsoft Excel

The optimum use of resources is illustrated by 73 years old Japanese, Tatsuo Horiuchi through his paintings. Amazingly, he utilizes the so called business application MS-Excel for his artistic work. He was interested in graphic art from his early age. But due to the busy working schedule, Mr. Tatsuo Horiuchi waited till his retirement to crystallize his hobby. He didn’t use MS -Excel and has gained no experience from his job working in the organizations. He adopted MS-Excel due to two reasons, affordability and easy usability of the software.

He has been working for 13 years. He has presented his worth seeing art work in many exhibitions and has been honored with prestigious awards. In 2006, Mr. Tatsuo Horiuchi has won Excel – Autoshape art competition.
