Start by finding a place to build your website. This is especially important if you are going to do everything yourself. There are a lot of web builder sites out there, Wix and WordPress are not the only ones.

This is just the beginning of your adventure in designing a website. If you don’t feel like you have the time or the skill, you may be surprised. If you find you really don’t have the time or skill then you may want to hire someone. 

Pick A Layout

Once you have all of that set up it is time to get all of your information into your website. You need to make sure you have all of the right pages, like a content page and an about page. If you are selling a product or showing off your art, you want to make sure you have a gallery set up.

For products and even services, you want to make sure you have good descriptions written up so that people know exactly what you’re offering them and what they’re getting.

Add Emails And Other Contact Info

Make sure that there are plenty of links to other places where fans, clients, and potential clients can find you and contact you. That includes direct links to your email contact. You also want to share the address to your brick and mortar address (if you have one) and include your phone number. You could have a contact form, as well.

Get On Social Media

You also want to make sure that your business is on social media, and that you have links to your social pages prominent on your website. Social media is used by many and being on there will help you reach more people. They may even contact you through your social media sites, so be prepared for that.
