Gravity is the one thing that keeps everything intact. It enables us to stay and walk on the ground. Imagine life without gravity; we would all be floating around, grabbing things to move to our destinations. It might seem cool, but in reality it is not. Everything would be uprooted and it would be chaos all around. However, an art piece defying gravity would be ultra-cool!
Norwegian artist Strok has created a series of stunning and realistic looking people on walls. By using multiple stencils and spray paints, Strok has strategically placed them to give the impression as if they are walking on buildings. The images are made even more realistic by adding their shadows. A few of the images show people walking on the wall, one shows a youngster standing on the wall, spreading his arms. An amazing picture shows a mountain climber climbing up a wall in his complete gear, including the rope.
Strok also created some of these images on wood; and one of these shows a youngster with his back to us, clad in the nowadays famous casual attire of jeans, hoodie and sneakers. Strok also paints on metal and glass. This kind of art would really liven up the streets of any city. Imagine walking down a road you use daily and suddenly seeing a bunch of people standing or shown walking on the buildings that surround you! This is contemporary art at its best! Among graffiti, murals and other forms of wall art, these grey and black tones masterpieces by Strok definitely hold their own and would be a lively addition to the street décor of any city.
