Isa Leshko, has presented the aged animal portraits to express her melancholia about getting old. She lives in Philadelphia. In her photography, she tried to overcome her hectic feelings about mortality and what people perceived about elderly stage of life. All the animals in the series of photos are rescued from the factory’s forms and kept at sanctuaries.
Before shooting all these photos she tried to create a comfortable environment with animals in order to achieve her objectives about aging and mortality. Basically, the artist has melancholic state of mind about her mother and maternal grandmother dementia. In her photography of old animals, she expressed all her feelings regarding her fear about getting old.
